Established in 2017, My Backyard Sports has grown from its earliest beginnings. From our first location, we had an enormous demand to serve clients in the states of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
We launched franchising in the Spring of 2020
My Backyard Sports is going national. Based on the enormous demand for at-home sports, we are taking our proven business model and making it available to entrepreneurs all across the country. We are set up to train you and your team on how to build a successful sports construction business that adds real value to your town, community, and your neighbors.

Our tennis courts are located in Briar Hill Villas in West Orange, NJ. They hadn't been properly maintained over the years and were virtually not in playable condition. We decided to have resurfaced and configured to accommodate both tennis and pickleball.We received several proposals and after viewing various installations and talking to customers, we decided to go forward with My Backyard Sports.Every step of the way we were informed of the progress. The people who worked on our project were professional in every aspect. The entire project took approximately two months and, as promised, was completed by Labor Day.The residents are thrilled and the courts are getting a lot of use.Thanks to Mike, Jake, Jonathan, Gustavo, Victor and the rest of the My Backyard Sports team.Bravo....Job Well Done!!

My Backyard Sports built a beautiful basketball court with a custom Harrington Park School Spartan logo in the center of the court. The court turned out beautiful and is used by school children as well as community members every single day. Building this court has been a great addition to the school property as well as providing a place for community members of all ages to enjoy. Michael and his team worked with us to determine the best court size and hoops. Thanks MBS!

I had an exceptional experience with Michael Kraner and the entire My Backyard Sports team, who built a beautiful basketball court for me. Michael visited my house several times to discuss the process, provide recommendations, and suggest the best court size, orientation, and hoop placement. Their expertise was evident as they even connected me with another customer to test out a similar court.Building my court was no small feat, given the 4ft dip/hill in my yard. They expertly constructed a retaining wall and collaborated with me to find solutions to prevent the ball from going down the hill. Their recommendation and installation of a pitch-back net and behind-the-hoop netting were perfect solutions.After installation, I encountered an issue due to the weather, but their response was swift and efficient. They promptly came out to fix it without any hassle. The team at My Backyard Sports is fantastic, and I highly recommend them to anyone considering building a basketball court.

I worked with My Backyard Sports to have a personalized hoop installed as a birthday present! I was very pleased with their responsiveness to all of my questions and their assistance in helping me pick out the best product for my needs. The installation was professionally done and the area was left clean when the installers were done. Would highly recommend this company to others!

Ok, option if you're really patient and willing to clean up yourself.Experienced and insightful sales department, but it took over six weeks to get the hoop installed. I understand COVID has impacted everything, but I had to follow up myself every week to get things moving.The base was clearly not centered, but they installed the hoop anyway.Overall it looks ok, though it would have look much better should they have cleaned up and hauled away.I must say I was expecting more for an almost 3k investment.

Not only does the hoop look amazing. It plays perfectly. The customer service by Michael and his team was second to none. Although this hoop will last my lifetime, if I ever needed to buy another, I would buy this again.

From start to finish, design to installation, Mike and the team were truly professional and excellent. Could not be happier with the way my basketball court turned out — the kids don’t stop playing for a minute! Mike was personally involved throughout every step of the way, going above and beyond at any time of day to answer my questions and make the big decisions. Even after a massive tree fell on the court only a few months after building it, causing massive damage, Mike and the team stepped in right away, prioritizing me to ensure my kids would not have to go too long without the court they love. If you’re reading this, don’t hesitate to choose Mike!

Summer of 2019. My kids are away at sleeapaway camp. They are due to come home the third week of August, and the first week of August my wife and I decide we want to surprise them with a hoop and basketball court in the driveway. On an incredibly short time frame, Mike came to my house, sent me links for what I needed and got the excavation, installation and and painting of the driveway done on an expedited schedule! When my kids got off the camp bus and we got home, we pulled up to the house with them shrieking OH MY GOD as they saw the court, hoop and red ribbon hanging on it! The rest of the afternoon was a three point shooting contest.I cannot recommend My Backyard Sports more strongly. Use them!

We had a challenging placement to install our basketball hoop (backyard, slope, rocks, etc.). Mike and his crew took on the challenge and handled everything with professionalism and with a personal touch. The crew was extremely professional, clean and courteous. Mike also suggested the right hoop for our circumstances and didn't try to up sell me to a more expensive model. The finishing touch was a bow on the hoop. My kids were very surprised and excited. It rained the day of the install but that didn't stop my son from going out to play. I would highly recommend them!!
